Matthew O' Neill

Matthew O’Neill is a graduate of Concordia University in his hometown of Montreal, Canada and a first year law student at Boston College Law School. He has been attending Model United Nations conferences for the past 6 years and it has taken him across 4 continents and 6 cities. He is excited to work with and lead such a well qualified team to bring you the best New York City and GCMUN has to offer!

Anne studied economics at Princeton University, and during that time, she had experiences in many aspects of Model United Nation Conferences. She served on the staff of 7 different conferences, and she was a delegate at over two dozen conferences. At GCMUN, she is excited to share her passion in international affair with students from all over the world. She is looking forward to the diversity of topic and debate that all students will have at the conference. She loves to hear from delegates even before the conference starts, so please email her and introduce yourself!
Director of ECOFIN
Pietro is a senior at Harvard University studying Social Studies (focusing on the Economics and Politics of Europe) with a Secondary degree in Astrophysics. He was born in Bari, Italy, where he lived his whole life until college. Once at Harvard, he joined the staff for the Model UN Boston conferences (HMUN and HNMUN) as well as a wide variety of clubs: the swimming and water polo team, the society of international students, the directing staff of the Freshman Musical, the Institute of Politics, and the Economics department as a Teaching Fellow for Macroeconomics. More specifically within Model UN, Pietro has served as the Under-Secretary-General for Delegate Relations at HNMUN 2016 and has directed several committees at HMUN, HMUN India, and WorldMUN. As Pietro’s very first MUN conference in high school was in New York City, he is more than excited to close his college Directing career back at a full circle in the Big Apple and meet you all soon at GCMUN!

Yasmin Yokigal Lachir is a rising senior, concentrating in Chemistry, at Harvard College. Her interests include reading, learning different languages, as well as broadening her understanding of cultures different from her own. MUN has been an invaluable part of her college experience and so she is dedicated to doing whatever she can to help provide you all with a great MUN experience. She is so excited to be a part of GCMUN and cannot wait to meet you all!!!
Director of SPECPOL
Bowen Lu studies computer science at Harvard University. He is incredibly excited to be a part of GCMUN this year. He has been a chair in Harvard World Model United Nations, and he is also a member of the Harvard Intercollegiate MUN competitive team. In other news, he enjoys playing poker and listening to EDM music. He can't wait to meet all of you!
Director of DISEC
Olivia is a rising senior at Harvard University from Old Westbury, New York. She is majoring in History of Science, with a minor in Folklore and Mythology. Through her coursework, she has had the opportunity to focus on advocacy projects centered on public health, health policy, and non-profit work, specifically through science research at Brigham and Women's Hospital and policy work at the Clinton Foundation. While on campus, Olivia is actively involved in the Harvard Square Homeless Shelter, serving as the Finance Director after volunteering for the previous five semesters. She is also very involved in Harvard Model United Nations, having directed the past two years at the Boston conferences for high school and college students (HMUN and HNMUN) and also at the conference in India (HMUN India); this coming year she will serve as the Senior Director of Security at the Boston conference and Direct the Human Rights Council at the Latin America conference (HNMUN-LA). She is also on the board of the Undergraduate Committee of the Harvard Alumni Association, where she works on projects to promote student cohesion on campus.
Maria José Sada
Director of Legal
Maria José Sada is a senior at Harvard College studying Government with a secondary in Economics. She was born in Monterrey, Mexico and lived there before moving to college. She has been involved in Model UN since 6th grade and is really passionate about history, global affairs, and politics. At Harvard, Maria José has been actively involved in Model UN. She has directed and moderated in both Harvard Model United Nations (HMUN) and Harvard National Model United Nations (HNMUN) and was part of the Secretariat team of HNMUN-Latin America for two years in a row. Apart from model UN, Maria also writes for the Harvard International Review and for the Harvard Crimson. She also works for Harvard Student Agencies, where she is Product Manager of Let’s Go, the leading student travel guide. She really enjoys doing community service, horseback riding, and figure skating. She is extremely excited for GCMUN and cannot wait to meet you all at conference!
